Our general approach

This website is built to collect as little as possible. It uses no cookies, no advertising trackers, and no browser storage (no localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB) anywhere in its interactive planning tools. Information you provide in the site's planning tools (Planner, Reality Preview, Security Score, and related features) stays only in your browser's memory for the duration of your visit and is cleared automatically when you close or refresh the page — it is not saved to any server unless you explicitly submit an enquiry form.

Information collected when you submit an enquiry

If you choose to request a quote, a site survey, or contact us through a form on this site, we collect what you provide, which may include:

Your name, phone number, and email address
Your postcode
Preferred contact method and appointment time
Details about the property and services you're interested in, drawn from your use of our planning tools

This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and arrange the service you've requested. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for marketing purposes beyond your own enquiry.

Information used by the AI Security Engineer

If you use the "AI Security Engineer" feature to ask a question, the following is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a response:

The question you type
A limited set of non-identifying property and security-planning details you've entered elsewhere on the site (for example: property type, general access features, existing security measures, and outputs from tools like Security Score) — but never your name, email, phone number, address, or postcode, which this feature never has access to

This exchange is not stored by us. We do not log your questions or the AI's answers. The AI provider processes this information to generate a response and return it to you; please refer to OpenAI's own privacy policy for how they handle information sent to their API.

Please don't enter sensitive personal, security, or access information into the AI Security Engineer — a reminder that also appears directly above the chat box when you use it.

Emailing yourself a copy of your Security Snapshot

If you choose to email yourself a copy of your Security Snapshot from within My Security Plan, the email address you provide is used solely to send that one copy to you. It is not used to create an account, and is not retained by the sending system once the email has been sent — only your IP address and the time of the request are kept briefly, and only to prevent abuse of the feature, never the email address itself. Your underlying security assessment is not stored as a persistent customer profile anywhere on our systems; it continues to exist only in your browser for the current visit, exactly as described above.

Analytics

We use a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service (GoatCounter) to understand general visitor numbers and which pages and tools are used. This does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect personally identifiable information.

International data transfers

Our AI provider (OpenAI) is based in the United States and processes data outside the UK/EEA. By using the AI Security Engineer feature, information you send through it may be processed on servers located internationally.

Data retention

Enquiry form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to and fulfil your request. AI Security Engineer conversations are not retained by us in any form.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, and object to how it's used. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
